Against the background of economic globalization, the number of books published in foreign languages in China is on the rise. Some of them have entered the public domain. In recent years, with China's accession to the international organizations and international conventions, such as the World Intellectual Property Organization, the copyright issue of translated and published works has made substantial progress. However, from a large number of cases, there are still problems in the process of translation and publication of works in China, such as imperfect relevant laws and regulations, weak public awareness of copyright. Due to the lack of checks by the original authors or their heirs, some works that have entered the public domain are more prone to the problem of inconsistent selection standards. There is a large gap in terms of the professional level of translators. Plagiarism and manuscript washing are not uncommon. Publishers tend to ignore laws and regulations. As a result, the brand influence of classic works has declined. The cost of public selection of books has risen. The book publishing market is in disarray. China's copyright protection work is criticized by international public opinion and other issues. To solve above problems, this paper proposes to establish an authoritative translation and publication evaluation system. It also advises to protect the property rights of the translator's language style and creative expression. Editors should protect para-texts of works in public domain. We should give full play to the role of international translation organization and establish a complete copyright information query system.
